Jenny Hulme is a London-based ceramic artist.
She completed the two-year Ceramics Diploma at City Lit in 2025 and holds a BA (Hons) in Fashion and Textiles from Nottingham Trent University.
Before establishing her ceramics practice, she worked as a womenswear fashion buyer.
Her one-of-a-kind pieces are developed through a process-led approach that moves between drawing, collage, and slab-building with clay.
“My practice explores balance and stillness, surface and structure. I reference both architecture and landscape, connecting the built environment with the natural world.
Using glaze and slip techniques, and drawing on my background in textiles, I investigate how colour, line and painterly surfaces integrate with form.
Influenced by minimalism, constructivism, and geometric abstraction, my work resists rigidity; straight lines waver, creating rhythm and movement.
I aim to create objects that invite touch and contemplation, enriching the spaces they inhabit”.
